All Western Australian public schools are reviewed by the Department of Education’s Public School Accountability directorate. A review gives assurance to the local community, the Minister for Education and Training and the Director General about the performance of public schools in delivering high quality education to students. The review acknowledges the achievements of the school and gives feedback to support the Principal and staff with their improvement planning.
Our school was reviewed in December 2021 and was deemed to have met the required standards. The next review is scheduled for December 2024.

National Quality Standards Audit and verification
The National Quality Standard in Early Childhood Education set out the requirements for Kindergarten to year 2 classrooms and learning.
The National Quality Standard (NQS), developed in partnership with State, Territory and Commonwealth Governments, is intended to deliver higher standards for young children in the areas of education, care and health across Australia.
Since 2013, all early childhood programs (Kindy - Year 2) in Western Australian schools have been required to meet the NQS.
Schools are required to submit an annual NQS Audit each year. Schools may request an external verification of their National Quality Standard School Audit.
In 2022, Piara Waters Primary School requested an external verification of the school’s NQS Audit. The NQS verifiers met with administration and the NQS team leader to discuss the ratings made against the NQS and spent time visiting classrooms at all sites to observe practice and provide specific feedback in relation to the quality areas. The NQS verifiers confirmed that Piara Waters Primary school is meeting all seven quality areas, which is the highest rating a school can receive.
