There are two subjects in the Technologies learning area. The first is Design and Technologies. The second is Digital Technologies. Students develop skills in creating solutions for now and the future in both subjects.

At Piara Waters Primary School, students study Design and Technologies in Semester 1, and Digital Technologies in Semester 2.

In Pre-Primary, year 1 and year 2, Technologies is taught by a specialist teacher. Classroom teachers teacher Technologies in year 3 to 6.
