Employment, relief and casual positions

Relief staff are valued members of our Piara Waters Primary School team.

All of our relief (casual) work is managed through Schrole Cover. You will need to download the app to your device, or access the website online.

https://www.schrolecover.com/for-relief-staff.html

Casual relief work is available and managed through our Schole Cover for;

    • Cleaners

    • Gardeners

    • School officers

    • Library officers (librarians)

    • Education assistants

    • Teachers

Applications for casual relief work are only reviewed and accepted via Schrole Cover. Please do not email or contact the front office to express your interest in casual relief work, as you will be directed to use Schrole Cover.

The Principal reviews applications on Schrole Cover on a regular basis and applicants are accepted based on the current school needs, staff supply, and applicant suitability.

Please make sure you upload these documents to Schrole Cover;

    • An up-to-date CV or resume with your qualifications, work history, and names of two referees.

    • Department of Education Screening number (letter or include the number in your CV). You must complete the National Coordinated Criminal History Check. We have a strict “no screen, no start’ policy. Once you start working for the Department, in most cases, your screening status remains valid unless you have a break-in-service. For casual and relief teachers, a break-in-service is 12 months. For non-teaching staff, a break-in-service is considered six months or more. You can find out more and apply online here: https://www.education.wa.edu.au/ncchc If you require help to verify or upload your documents, the front office can assist you.

    • Working with Children Check Card (photograph of your card, or include the number and expiry date in your CV). You can apply for a card at Australia Post. The Principal can sign your application if you bring it to the front office. Please allow 24 hours for signing.

    • A Department of Education ID number (E number) is not required. If you have not worked for the Department of Education, WA, previously, we can arrange this number for you. You must, however, have a WWCC and a Department of Education screening number.

    • Teachers must also include their TRBWA number and expiry date (or include in your CV)

    • If you were born overseas, please upload a citizenship certificate, passport of visa letter.
