EXTRA CURRICULAR SCHOOL BASED CLUBS
Students at Piara Waters Primary School have the opportunity to attend a range of school based, extra-curricular activities that occur throughout the school year.
Below is a list of clubs and opportunities currently available.
Junior Choir – Year 2 & 3
Who: Students in Year 2 and 3
When: Monday mornings
Where: Music Room
Time: 7:45 am – 8:30 am
Cost: Free
Eligibility: Open to all interested Year 2 and 3 students. There is an opportunity to “try” in until week 8 in term 1.
From Monday 31 March, students need to make a commitment to the choir.
All Year 2 and 3 students are welcome, including those who have not yet attended, however please note students will need to make a decision this week if they wish to continue in the Choir by returning their Choir Contract by Monday, 31 March 2025.
Junior Choir students (if a contract is returned) will be performing at the Fremantle Eisteddfod on Friday, 2 May. The school is also participating in the WA Government Schools Music Society Concert (WAGSMS) on Tuesday, 24 June. Year 3 choir students (and possibly year 2, pending numbers) will be eligible to join our school performance.
Senior Choir – Year 4/5/6
Who: Students in Year 4 to 6
When: Wednesday mornings
Where: Music Room
Time: 7:45 am – 8:45 am
Cost: Free
Eligibility: Open to all interested Year 4, 5 and 6 students.
Students are welcome to try choir up until the Wednesday, 2 April, before making the commitment to attend consistently until the end of the year.
We require that all students who commit to joining the choir from Wednesday 2 April, read, complete, and return this choir contract.
In addition to in-school performances, students will be performing at the WA Government Schools Music Society Concert (WAGSMS) on Tuesday, 24 of June. Year 4-6 choir students will be eligible to join our school performance.
Mrs Sudhakaran, our music teacher, will also provide students with a hard copy of the contracts in choir.
New students to Piara Waters Primary School are able to join the choir on enrolment.
