We run a number of student extension programs. These programs aim to challenge and extend K-6 students’ knowledge and skills in their areas of strength. The programs also aim to develop students’ employment skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, initiative and enterprise, organisation, resilience and critical thinking.

We will be offering a Science Extension Program in term 2 and 3, for interested year 2, 4 and 6 students. Part of this program will be completing a submission into the SSTAWA Science Talent Search Competition.
The top twenty students in years 3,4,5 and 6 (as determined by their most recent PAT maths test) will participate in our maths extension program.
The program takes place once a week, with a dedicated teacher. Students extend their mathematical thinking and develop their maths skills through Numero.
Year 3 to 6 students also have the opportunity to be chosen from this group to represent our school in the Have Sum Fun online termly competitions, run by the Mathematics Association or WA.
Year 5/6 students also have the opportunity to be chosen from this group to represent our school in the Numero Interschool Challenge in term 4.
Our drama, Mrs Walton, leads the Public Speaking extension program.
