World Music Day - Student BuskingOn Monday 23 June, is World Music Day. It celebrates music in all its forms, and the importance of music in people’s lives. At Piara Waters Primary School, we will celebrate World Music Day by inviting students who play instruments or sing, to “busk” (perform for up to 90 seconds) during recess and lunch play. Kindergarten/Pre-Primary students will participate in a modified event, in their K/P play space. |

WAGSMS (WA Government Schools Music Society) PerformanceThis year, our Choir (Year 2 – 6, junior and senior) students will participate in the WA Government Schools Music Society Concert (WAGSMS) on Tuesday June 24 at Crown Theatre. This is instead of the Massed Choir Festival. You can see some examples of performances on the WAGSMS website. |

Running ClubRunning Club is open to all students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Come along and join running club every Tuesday morning in term 2 and 3. Parents and siblings are welcome. 7:45am on the school oval. |

Faction Cross Country Carnival (Year 1 to Year 6)All Year 1 to 6 students compete in their year levels / gender to run their cross-country race around the school, earning points for their faction. The top 10 students from each race receive a certificate, and the top 2 students receive a Champion and Runner Up medal presented to them at the presentations. The students run the following distances:
