Reading Award Ceremony

All students should be recording home reading in their Reading Logs at least four times each week.
Before bringing their Reading Logs to school to be checked by their teacher each Monday, it is their responsibility to update the total number of days they have recorded this year.

Home reading milestones are recognised at either a classroom or school level throughout the year.

• 10 days – 1 Gold tokens from the class teacher
• 50 days – 5 Gold tokens from the class teacher
• 100 days – a Certificate of Achievement from the principal (and 10 Gold tokens)
• 150 days – a Certificate of Excellence from the principal (and 15 Goldi tokens)
• 200 days – a Remarkable Reader Certificate and pin from the principal

Reading Recognition Ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, 4 June and Tuesday, 1 July from 2:00pm – 2:30pm in the library. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend.

Year 1 Excursion - Armadale History Musuem (Room 12/Room 55)

Year 1 students will be visiting Armadale History Museum to enhance and support their learning of the History Curriculum. Permission slips and information will be sent out early in Term 2. The excursion will occur on the following dates:

• Room 14, Room 15 - Tuesday 27 May
• Room 9, Room 13 - Wednesday 28 May
• Room 12, Room 55 - Friday 6 June

Year 5 and 6 AFLW Interschool

Year 5 and 6 AFLW Interschool

Year 5 and 6 girls have been given the opportunity to represent our school in Australian Rules Football.

Selected students will now compete against the other schools in a round-robin style competition. 

Students in Year 5 and 6 who have been selected to represent our school will be sent home a permission form closer to the date.
