Harmony Day - Wear something orange or traditional dress - Kindy B students
Piara Waters Primary School will be celebrating Harmony Week on Tuesday, 21st March.
On this day, KINDY B students, staff and parents are encouraged to wear something orange, OR wear the traditional dress of their country of origin.
Orange is the colour chosen to represent Harmony Week. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.
There will be a number of activities held in classrooms, and the playground to acknowledge and celebrate Australian multiculturalism, and the successful integration of migrants into our community.
Australia is one of the most successful multicultural countries in the world, and Piara Waters Primary School is richer for our multicultural enrolments.
Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values.
